Privacy Policy

Omoggle is built to respect your privacy. We collect the minimum data needed to run live face-to-face duels, matchmaking, ratings, and basic abuse prevention. We do not sell personal data.

Camera and Live Video

Omoggle uses your device's camera during duels. Face mesh scoring is processed entirely on your device, in real time. During a live duel, your video feed may be transmitted to the other participant through the realtime calling stack required to run the match. We do not store duel video recordings on our servers.

What We Store on Your Device

In your browser storage or app storage, we may keep:

• Session and preference state needed to keep the app working.
• Cached display preferences and dismissal state.
• Temporary identifiers used to resume a session.

You can clear all of this at any time by clearing your browser storage or reinstalling the mobile app.

What We Send to Our Server

When you create an account, match, or finish a duel, we may receive:

• Your account or platform identifier
• Your display name and profile metadata you choose to show
• Duel results, scores, and ELO updates
• Friend-code, room, and matchmaking metadata
• The timestamp and bare IP-level metadata that any web server receives by default (used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention)

We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, account credentials, contacts, location, advertising identifiers, photos, or video.

How Your Information Is Used

• To match you into duels and keep rounds synchronized.
• To rank you on the public leaderboard and update ELO.
• To prevent abuse, fraud, impersonation, spam, and platform manipulation.
• To moderate names, profile content, and activity that appears publicly.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.

Service Providers

Our backend (a small Express + Redis service) is hosted on Railway. The static website is hosted on a standard CDN. These providers process traffic on our behalf under their own security and privacy practices.

Data Retention

We retain leaderboard, account, and duel-result data for as long as needed to operate the service and maintain rankings. Short-lived transport and connection logs may be retained for a limited period for debugging and abuse review. You can request deletion of account-linked data at any time.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Your Choices

• You can deny camera access at any time — duels will not run without it.
• You can stop using the service or end a duel at any time.
• You can clear local browser or app data by clearing storage or reinstalling the app.
• You can request deletion of server-side account data tied to you.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the website.
