What is the 67 Challenge?
The 67 Challenge is a viral social-media game where you try to pump your hands up and down as fast as possible for a short period. 67 Speed turns it into a real timed game: 20 seconds, a global leaderboard, and a score you can actually compare.
Why is it called 67?
It started as a meme — a number people shouted while pumping their hands. The name stuck. 67 Speed is the official timed version: 20 seconds of pumping, one score, world rankings.
Is 67 Speed free?
Yes. Free on the web, free on iOS. No ads during gameplay, no paywall, no signup, no email collection. We run a single backend for the leaderboard and that's it.
How does hand tracking work?
67 Speed uses MediaPipe Pose, a machine-learning model that detects body landmarks from your camera feed. We track your left and right wrists — not your fingers — so hand shape doesn't matter. Palm, fist, fingers toward the camera, all work.
Does it send my camera feed anywhere?
No. Camera frames are processed entirely on-device in your browser or the iOS app. We never upload video, images, or any biometric data. On iPhone, your final score and display name leave the device to land on the leaderboard. The web version doesn't upload anything at all.
Do I need an account?
No. On iPhone, each device gets an anonymous ID plus a display name you pick — no email, no password, no phone number. The web version stores nothing except your local personal best.
How long is a game?
Exactly 20 seconds. Three-second countdown, then 20 seconds of pumping, then your score.
What counts as one point?
Each hand scores independently. A point is awarded whenever a wrist moves vertically past an 8% threshold from its last checkpoint. Both hands contribute to the same total.
What's a good score?
New players usually land around 30–50. Regulars break 80. Top streamers have cleared 120+ in 20 seconds. The global record is live on the leaderboard.
Does the web version use the same scoring as iOS?
Yes. Same model, same thresholds, same 20-second window. Scoring is identical. Only iPhone players submit to the global leaderboard — the web version tracks your personal best locally and doesn't post.
What browsers are supported?
Any modern browser with camera access: Safari 15+, Chrome, Edge, and Brave all work well. Firefox works but may run slightly slower on the tracking model. On iOS, we strongly recommend the native app for haptics and tighter camera performance.
Why is the camera mirrored?
Mirroring makes the game feel like a mirror — your left hand is on the left side of the screen — which is what your brain expects. It doesn't affect scoring.
Does the web version post to the leaderboard?
No. The leaderboard is iPhone-only. The web version is free to play and tracks your personal best locally, but your score doesn't post to the global board. Install the iOS app to submit.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. iOS is live. Android is on the roadmap — the web version works on Android phones in the meantime.
Can streamers use 67 Speed on their channel?
Yes — encouraged. 67 Speed is on-stream friendly. If you're a Twitch or Kick creator, reach out and we'll feature your scores on the Streamers page.
How is 67 Speed different from other 67 sites?
Most 67 sites are static pages with a meme and a number. 67 Speed is a real game: on-device hand tracking, enforced timing, a personal best tracker on the web, and a global leaderboard + streamer features on the free iOS app. Try it in your browser, ship it to your pocket.
